Imation makes Fortune Magazine's "Most Admired Companies" List
Hong Kong, 2nd April, 2002 - Imation Corporation today announced the award of rank 4th on the Computer Peripherals Industry list of 2002 America's Most Admired Companies offered by Fortune Magazine. The Company has been granted the same award in Year 2000 and 2001 with the rank of No. 3 and No. 5 respectively.
The "Most Admired Companies" List has been organized by Fortune Magazine for 20 years and is highly recognized by the industries in both USA and worldwide. Companies are rated in their own industries based on eight criteria: Innovation, Financial Soundness, Employee Talent, Use of Corporate Assets, Long-Term Investment Value, Social Responsibility, Quality of Management, and Quality of Products & Services. Ten largest companies (by revenues) in 58 industries are selected finally. To ensure the representative of the result, the judge panel includes 10,000 respondents at the positions of executives, directors and securities analysts.
Imation was rated satisfactorily in all the eight criteria: It was ranked No. 2 and No. 3 for "Financial Soundness" and "Use of Corporate Assets" and rated favorably in the "Innovativeness", "Social Responsibility" and "Quality of products/services".
