Imation SuperSlim Pearl White Portable Harddisk is an extension of the Silver Series under the same product line. Same as the previous version, it is extremely light with the weight of 157g only. The unique pearl white color that rarely found in the market conveys both professional and prestige image.
5,400rpm rotational speed and 8MB buffer harddisk enclosure
SuperSlim Pearl White Portable Harddisk is equipped with USB2.0 interface. Its transfer rate is 480Mb/s and enclosed with a 5,400 rpm rotational speed and 8MB buffer memory harddisk. It contains also Fluid Dynamic Bearing motor technology that avoids crashes, overheated, vibration and reduces acoustics.
Adopts Industry-leading technology to increase hard disk's functionality and reliability
GMR heads that are used in Imation SuperSlim Pearl White Portable Harddisk possess greater sensitivity to magnetic fields. The increase sensitivity makes it possible to detect smaller recorded bit and to read these bits at higher data rates. Larger signals from GMR heads also help overcome electronic noise. Enhanced Adaptive Battery Life Extender is used when the harddisk drive is idle, this unique power-management technology selects the appropriate mode to minimize power usage. To enhance protection, Imation SuperSlim Pearl White Portable Harddisk adopts Load/Unload Technology which protect the disk plate and the head from crashes. Lastly, Self-Monitoring Analysis and Reporting Technology (S.M.A.R.T) is used to monitor the performance of the drive and it will notify the computer immediately for any possible deficiencies.
Imation SuperSlim Pearl White Series Portable Harddisks are in 20GB and 40GB and the listed prices are HK$1,220 and HK$1,620 respectively. In addition, there are also SuperSlim Silver Series Portable Harddisk and gold color IEEE1394 Portable Harddisk available for selection.
