24th December, 2001, Hong Kong - Followed the launch of internal 24x10x40 internal CDRW drive, Imation today launched again another new CDRW drive series, 8x8x24 External USB CDRW Drive. With the mobility nature, this drive is particularly good to notebook users.

Connectable to USB1.1, USB2.0, PCMCIA & IEEE1394 interfaces
The most distinctive characteristic of this CD-RW drive is the high connectivity with different interfaces including USB1.1, USB2.0, PCMCIA & IEEE1394. When USB2.0, PCMCIA & IEEE1394 are used, the drive operates at the maximum speed of 8x in both write and rewrite, and reads disc at 24x speed. If the user only have USB1.1 port in the computer, the drive will then write and rewrite at the lower speed 4x to fit individual requirement.

Best fit for Music CD production
Imation 8x8x24 External USB CDRW Drive is in slim line design. With the head phone connection, volume control and Skip/Play section button, it can also be used as a normal CD-Player.
